Alan Demétrius Baria Valejo is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Federal University of São Carlos (DC/UFSCar), Brazil, and a tenured faculty member in the Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGCC) at UFSCar. He is a member of the leadership team of two research groups: INTERFACES – Center for Sociopolitical Studies of Algorithms and Artificial Intelligence, and MIDAS – Data Mining and Applications Research Group. He coordinates the Data Processing and Analysis Group (PANDA). His research interests include graph machine learning, with an emphasis on social network analysis, text mining, graph neural networks, and multilevel methods.
Luiz Henrique de Campos Merschmann is a professor in the Department of Applied Computing at the Federal University of Lavras (DAC/UFLA). He holds a degree in Mining Engineering from UFOP (1999), a master's degree in Production Engineering from UFRJ (2002), and a doctorate in Computer Science from UFF (2007), in addition to postdoctoral studies at the University of Kent, UK (2012/2013). He was a tenured professor at UFOP between 2006 and 2017, in the DECEA and DECOM departments, where he also coordinated the Postgraduate Program in Computer Science for two years. His research interests focus on Artificial Intelligence, with an emphasis on Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Natural Language Processing.

Currently a professor at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) on the Blumenau campus - SC. Has experience in areas related to Computer Science and an interest in the following topics: artificial intelligence, machine learning, bioinformatics and IoT. Is part of the Research Group in Computer Systems (UFSC).
Prof. Dr. Ricardo Cerri obtained his P.hD in Computer Science and Computational Mathematics from University of São Paulo (ICMC/USP/Brazil), working with Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms for Hierarchical and Multi-label Problems. During his P.hD., he had a long research stay at Universities of Surrey and Kent, both in United Kingdom. His P.hD Thesis was the 2nd Best PhD Thesis in the Brazilian Contest of Artificial Intelligence Thesis promoted by the Brazilian Computer Society (2014). He was also author of the student best paper on the IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation (2013). He has experience working mainly with Bioinformatics and Machine Learning, focusing on advanced methods for data classification, such as multi-output and structured learning. Currently he holds the position of Assistant Professor at the Department of Computer Science from Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar/Brazil), leading the Bioinformatics and Machine Learning research group (BioMal). During 2019 he was a visiting researcher at the Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and Decision Support (LIAAD), working with multi-output learning in data streams.
