Alan Demétrius Baria Valejo is a professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Federal University of São Carlos (DC/UFSCar), Brazil, and a tenured faculty member in the Graduate Program in Computer Science (PPGCC) at UFSCar. He is a member of the leadership team of two research groups: INTERFACES – Center for Sociopolitical Studies of Algorithms and Artificial Intelligence, and MIDAS – Data Mining and Applications Research Group. He coordinates the Data Processing and Analysis Group (PANDA). His research interests include graph machine learning, with an emphasis on social network analysis, text mining, graph neural networks, and multilevel methods.
Gustavo Vale is a visiting professor at Federal University of Lavras (DCC/UFLA) and post-doc researcher at Federal University of Minas Gerais. Dr. Vale received his PhD degree in computer science in 2024 from the Saarland University. He is bacharel of Information Systems by Federal University of Lavras (UFLA) and Master in Computer Science by Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG). His research interests include coordination in software engineering, artificial intelligence, software metrics, software product lines, software analysis and evolution, empirical methods, and the human factor in software engineering. He worked in different companies and universities including Facebook, MSG Systems, Unilavras, and University of Passau.
Luiz Henrique de Campos Merschmann is a professor in the Department of Applied Computing at the Federal University of Lavras (DAC/UFLA). He holds a degree in Mining Engineering from UFOP (1999), a master's degree in Production Engineering from UFRJ (2002), and a doctorate in Computer Science from UFF (2007), in addition to postdoctoral studies at the University of Kent, UK (2012/2013). He was a tenured professor at UFOP between 2006 and 2017, in the DECEA and DECOM departments, where he also coordinated the Postgraduate Program in Computer Science for two years. His research interests focus on Artificial Intelligence, with an emphasis on Machine Learning, Data Mining, and Natural Language Processing.
