let's be friends on goodreads!
Our Violent Ends
I haven't been this blown away by a book in a while. I swear, Gen Z authors are pumping out the best books. This had high stakes, stress-inducing tension, great action, and moments that just rip the heart out.
What I need is for someone to adapt these books into a movie or TV show because this just feels so cinematic.

Although out of all of the books on this list this one is definitely my least favorite, it still made me cry and that's what this Hall of Fame is all about.
The depiction of grief after a loved one dies really hit hard. But this book isn't just about grief, which was awesome! There are great friendships and beautiful family moments and I don't always see many of those in books centered about death. I loved seeing such supportive parents because most of the time in Young Adult books, the parents are either terrible or dead. Bailey has two loving mothers and it just made me so happy. I've never heard of this author until now and I'm excited to see what else she brings to the table!
Thank you Netgalley for sending me this arc to review
Rule of Wolves
Leigh Bardugo decided that it was time to rip my cold stone heart out of my chest.
Amazing book full of humor and beautiful character moments. The heartfelt scenes are so well done that you just feel in the moment and like you want to cry alongside everyone else. And I did. Another great addition to the GrishaVerse.
Sing Me Forgotten
Beautifully written. An unexpectedly lush and gorgeous book. Phantom of the Opera retelling (I know, I know. Strange decision)
Jessica S. Olson is someone to watch out for she's a very talented writer. I did not expect to cry as much as I did but the tragedies of some of these characters are real gut punchers. Highly recommend to anyone feeling too happy lately.
The Burning God
Violent, brutal, yeesh the characters are going THROUGH IT.
I managed to cry at the very very end. It wasn't a lot but this book still put me in a reading slump afterwards. I would recommend this book to anyone who appreciates war stories with magic involved and is not afraid of crazy deaths.
