In his classes, Dr. Ekram used to emphasize the importance of scientifically-minded, evidence-based management, experiential, hands-on discussion and learning, aimed at understanding from different points of view, and critical thinking and problem-solving with data. The students particularly enjoy using strategy board games for teaching essential concepts in managerial and business decision-making.

Till 2021, Dr. Md Ekram Hossain has guided more than 30 international students in their postgraduate thesis projects. Assisted the students through seminars and discussions regarding how to: find a suitable research topic, review related literature, write a research proposal, analyze & interpret data, comply with ethics and intellectual property laws, and address other related issues.
