Dr. Ekram participated in the following projects at National and International levels, being a Member of the Research Team/Co-PI 

• Research Project-9

• “Strengthening Capacity for Monitoring Environmental Emissions Under the Paris Agreement”, Global Environment Facility (GEF) Project ID-9986,  Department of Environment (DoE) under the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) Bangladesh and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of United Nations, Dhaka, Bangladesh 

Duration: (12/2019-12/2023)

Responsibilities: 

-  Preparatory of technical studies and reviews, inputs and support in the required analyses and studies

-  Developing and reviewing the policy brief, knowledge materials, and technical reports of the ongoing project

-  Supporting the stakeholders and consultations and establishing, maintaining and strengthening liaisons with different stakeholders in national and international capacities

-  Communicating research progress and updates to the internal and external stakeholders of the project in a timely and professional manner

-  Supporting the project director and team in administrative tasks related to the project monitoring and evaluation

-  Contributing to the validation training programs, workshops and seminars having to support all necessary revisions that arise during the events as appropriate

-  Supporting DOE in consultation meetings and training related to CBIT (Capacity Building Initiative for Transparency) with the government partners and other private sector stakeholders 

• Research Project-8

• Research on the Coordinated Development and Security Strategy of Water-Energy-Food in China under the Green Development Strategy, National Social Science Foundation of China, (Project No. 19ZDA084), Business School, Hohai University, China 

Duration: (2019.12 - 2022.12 )

Responsibilities: 

-     Managing administrative aspects of research projects, including application deadlines and reporting requirements, collaborating with research funding agencies and partner organizations

-    Coordinating the initiation of the research study protocol, and the establishment of operating policies and procedures

-    Monitoring and identifying research funding opportunities and providing support to the research team members in developing research ideas and proposals, ensuring timely submission of the proposals

-    Coordinating the day-to-day activities of any technical support to the investigators, researchers and other team members of the research projects

-    Monitoring the progress of research activities; developing and maintaining records of research activities, and preparing periodic reports, as required by investigators, administrators, funding agencies, and regulatory bodies

-    Collaborating with the Research and Ethics Committee of the university to ensure compliance with ethical guidelines and protocols in research activities

-    Engaging with diverse stakeholders, including government partners, private sector stakeholders, and international research teams, to foster effective communication and knowledge exchange

-    Overseeing project evaluations, impact assessments, and knowledge dissemination activities to ensure research outcomes reach relevant audiences through academic publications and conferences

-    Organizing and facilitating workshops, training sessions, and seminars on research-related topics for the faculty, staff, and students

-    Teaching Research Methods and Data Analysis courses to the undergraduate and postgraduate students

• Research on the Construction of a Community of Shared Environmental Interests between China and Mekong countries; National Social Science Foundation of China Project No. 16ZDA046; Business School, Hohai University, China 

Duration: (12/2017-12/2019)

Responsibilities: Carrying out administrative and management work associated with the research project and undertaking other duties and relevant activities, collaborating with the internal and external stakeholders. Coordinating and conducting research on designed projects and guiding the students in their thesis research. Leading the international research team and conducting research seminars and workshops regularly
