iSTEM serves to match the needs of our South Edison community with the creative problem solvers of EHS. Using the $750 yearly funding from the IEEE organization students will compete to bring their community service projects to life.
This club provides students with opportunities to create projects that benefit their community, both at school and in the township at large. The proposal process involves elements of engineering design process, cost benefit analysis, teamwork, and presentation skills. Thus, as the community benefits from club members' ideas, club members also benefit by developing important skills to aid them in future careers.
In addition we work with Kreeya, a non-profit charity, that aims to support education in rural india. You can learn more and visit their website here
