Grading
Students will be graded according to the Three P Grading System
Participation 25%:
Students are to be in class on time, take notes, listen to instruction, and follow directions. (Every
student should be able to receive 100 percent of this grade.)
Practice 25%:
This area of the Three P Grading System requires students to simply write their practice time in their practice
log and have their parents sign it every week. Students are required to practice at least 45 minutes a day. (Practice logs will
be checked every Monday).
Performance 50%:
This area of the Three P Grading System requires students to participate in all performances.
Students will receive a zero for their performance grade every performance they miss. Other parts of the performance
grade include playing and written quizzes. Students will also receive a zero if they talk during a playing or written quiz
without permission.
