Band is an elective course in the Performing Arts Curriculum. This is a performance-based class. Students will perform patriotic, classical, and secular music from a variety of musical styles and time periods. The band program of study is designed to provide a basis for developingcomprehensive musicianship within the band rehearsals. Students will study music theory, techniques and concepts in order to aid them on their journey to becoming competent musicians. This class is a performing arts class. Participation in performances is required.
