Bison Sculpture


Adam Kemp led a youth art camp at Heritage Village. The Bison sculpture was made from ‘found’ objects.


Adam Kemp, Painter, sculptor, workshop creator. Kemp, who grew up in the London area with his parents and three brothers, came to Grand Forks in 1987, invited by a professor at UND to help build a sculpture in University Park. He completed a Master of Arts degree at the University of North Dakota. During his years in Grand Forks, Kemp has built a reputation around creating art from found objects. Kemp's signature bison sculptures are assembled from pieces of driftwood, thrown-away wood from construction sites and other found objects. Adam Kemp provides art camps for youth.


Adam Kemp owns Browning Arts. It is located at 23 South 3rd Street in Grand Forks. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places. The art gallery has a selection of art in every medium: ceramics, paintings, prints, photos, sculptures, jewelry, drawings, fiber arts. In addition, there are many gift items and greeting cards. Services include art consulting, custom picture framing and related services, and restoration and repair of artwork and frames.
