European Friends Baroque Orchestra goes Brahms

In November 2025, the EFBO will make a small excursion to Brahms.

The music is more modern, the "Friends"-approach is the same:

We will rehearse with the orchestra during the concert weekend, and there will be preparative rehearsals. The concert is again on Sunday afternoon. 

On the program, 3 works by Johannes Brahms:

1. Parts 1,2,4 and 7 from the "Deutsche Requiem"

2. Schicksalslied

3. 1st serenade (without singers)

We will be a choir of ~25 singers. For the occasion, the EFBO will be renamed EFCO (European Friends Chamber Orchestra)

We will play the orchestraparts in chamber orchestra setting.

Conductor will be Rob Meijer from Leusden (NL) who will also lead the choir rehearsals.

The concert is planned on Sunday November 23, 2025 at 15:00 hrs in the Pauluskerk in Baarn (NL).

There will be choir rehearsals on Nov 8 and 15 (both 13:00 to 16:00 hrs) and Nov 22 (from 11:00 to 18:00 hrs).

Saturday November 22 will be a rehearsal with the orchestra.

All rehearsals will take place in Baarn (NL).
