Excellent Amateur Baroque Players & Singers: Welcome ! 

Are you interested in playing or singing with us ?

We regularly have new projects for which we need musicians and singers.

Since we play according to historical practices, our instruments are (copies of) originals in order to get as close as possible to the practice of the time of the music that we are playing. We generally play in 415, in an applicable baroque tuning. Our strings play on gut and are using baroque bows.

All of us come from different places, preparations to concerts are individual or in small groups. Parts are distributed well ahead of the project. We get together in a single weekend (generally starting from Friday evening) and rehearse for a concert on the Sunday in the same weekend.

Instrumentalists and singers are all excellent and high level amateur musicians. Instruments that are played in our orchestra are flute (traverso, recorder), oboe, chalumeau, bassoon, trumpet, horn, violin, viola, cello, violone, viola da gamba, timpani, cembalo, organ and other continuo instruments like lute and theorbe.

Generally we ask a small financial contribution from everyone to cover for the cost of a project (concert/rehearsal locations, sheet music, etc.). All participants pay for their own travel and lodging.
