Colaboration

Prof. Luiz dos Anjos (UEL)

We work on understanding the processes involved in the distribution of bird species in the Atlantic Rainforest of Brazil and how these processes are affected by forest fragmentation. We investigate how to use beta diversity and functional diversity in the development of conservation strategies.

Prof. Fernando C. Jerep (UEL)

Prof. Jerep has introduced me to the fascinating world of fishes. I would say they are the second coolest taxa (after birds). We are currently studying how mating system in fish have diversified and sexual selection of Serrapinnus notomela.

Dr. Alan Fecchio (UFMT - PNPD at PPG Ecologia e Conservação da Biodiversidade)

We have been collaborating since our post-graduate course in Ecology at the University of Brasília. We are interesting in understanding the diversity drivers in avian malaria and their related haemosporidians.

Dr. Manuela Gonzalez-Suarez (University of Reading)

Manuela is helping us identify which ecological traits are most affected by sound pollution at a mining area in the Amazon. For more information on Manuela visit her site here.

Prof. Staffan Bensch (Lund University)

I was a visiting PhD student at Staffan's lab where I used a molecular approach to study the introduction of house sparrows in Brazil. During my stay I got in touch with the really cool avian malaria studies being developed there, and ever since, we have been collaborating on house sparrows and avian malaria.
