Testimonials

I've been told many times by parents and clients alike that I'm a fantastic coach and educator, and that my commitment to teaching the art of Parkour is evident from my diligent, multidisciplinary approach to it's practice and it's teaching. Though don't take my word for it! here are some Testimonials from parents of my clients, and what they had to say about my performance as an educator:

  • " My coach is the best Parkour teacher there is! He is funny, amazing and so fun! Thanks Coach Ed!"

" I met Coach Ed in 2018, after many different attempts of trying to find a sport that would excite my son. He had been introduced to a variety of organized team sports, but had no interest in any of them. I thought we would never find a sport, until one day, he asked if he could try Parkour. I had no idea what it was but was willing to try anything. I found the closest parkour gym (which happens to be an hour away), signed him up for classes and that is how our journey with Coach Ed began. We started out with the Saturday morning group classes, which we did for about a year and now he currently takes private weekly lessons.

My son has gotten so much out of this experience. Coach Ed is not only teaching my son a skill but he is teaching him important life lessons, lessons that build his strength inside and out. He is learning the importance of hard work and what it means to persevere. He is learning how to dig deep and push himself past his fears. Coach Ed teaches by being a power of example and a strong role model to my son. I am grateful for the one-on-one time they spend together. We are truly blessed to have found Coach Ed and Parkour! "

  • "For the past 3 years our daughter has been a regular member at Maine Warrior Gym. In that time she has met a number of good coaches. One of the best has been coach Ed. One of the first things you appreciate about coach Ed is his true love for teaching, Parkour and Ninja Warrior, and his students. He has an enthusiasm that is apparent and infectious to the students he teaches. He always treats them with respect, pushing them when appropriate and relaxing when he knows that they need a break.

This brings us to our second point: Coach Ed has the amazing ability to gear each lesson to the person or group that he is teaching. From the kids who participate as an after-school activity to the ones with a drive to advance their skills and compete on a national level. We have witnessed shy kids come out of their shell, hyperactive kids focus, non-neurotypical kids find understanding, and, kids with self-esteem issues begin to celebrate accomplishments. This is all thanks in part to Coach Ed's ability to treat each student as an individual, communicate in a way that they understand, and celebrate their achievements with them.

One thing that is particularly close to our hearts is the way he has interacted with our daughter, especially over the last year. In addition to being a regional competitor, our daughter also has a love of teaching and working with younger kids. The opportunity arose approximately a year ago for her to assist Coach Ed with a class. After that day, she expressed interest in learning how to teach ninja skills and becoming a coach for the gym when she gets old enough. After expressing this interest, Coach Ed took her under his wing and has let her assist him as an assistant coach for the younger kids. He works with her on both her coaching skills and personal interaction skills. He takes the time at the end of each class to discuss both what she is doing right as well as what she can improve on, both in a constructive way. Under this tutelage we have watched her grow greatly over the past year.

In closing we would like to say what an incredible asset Coach Ed is to the gym. The positive impact that he has made on our daughter and the other students he interacts with will be the foundation that will help them build toward the future".
