OMR Scanner App

By downloading, installing, or using the OMR Scanner App (“App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Purpose of the App

The App is intended for educational use by teachers, schools, and educational institutions to:

  Scan Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) answer sheets
  

• Extract answers into structured formats (JSON)
  

• Compare student responses with answer keys
  

• Generate evaluation results and scores
  
  

The App is an assistive evaluation tool and not a substitute for human verification.

2. Eligibility and Authorized Use

  You must be 18 years or older to use the App.
  

• If you use the App on behalf of a school or institution, you confirm that you are authorized to do so.
  

• Students should use the App only under teacher or institutional supervision.
  
  

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  Use the App only for lawful and educational purposes
  

• Upload only answer sheets and data you are authorized to process
  

• Ensure image quality and correct OMR format
  

• Review and verify results before making academic decisions
  

• Comply with applicable education and data protection laws
  
  

4. Data Processing and Privacy

• 
  The App processes images, answers, and results solely to provide core functionality
  

• Student data may constitute education records under FERPA
  

• Data processing is subject to our Privacy Policy
  
  

You are responsible for obtaining any required consent before uploading student data.

5. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services to function properly, including:

• 
  Google ML Kit – image and text recognition
  

• Gemini API – intelligent data extraction
  

• Firebase – analytics, crash reporting, performance monitoring
  

• Google AdMob – displaying advertisements
  
  

Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

6. Advertising (AdMob)

• 
  The App displays advertisements using Google AdMob
  

• Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on user consent and local laws
  

• We do not control the content of third-party advertisements
  

• Ads are not guaranteed to be suitable for all audiences
  
  

7. Accuracy Disclaimer

• 
  OMR scanning and AI interpretation may produce incorrect results
  

• Accuracy depends on image quality, lighting, and sheet format
  

• The App does not guarantee 100% accuracy
  
  

Users must verify results before final grading or record submission.

8. Intellectual Property

• 
  All rights, title, and interest in the App, including code, design, and algorithms, remain with the developer
  

• You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or redistribute the App without written permission
  
  

9. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  Use the App for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
  

• Upload malicious, misleading, or unauthorized content
  

• Attempt to disrupt, hack, or misuse the App or its services
  

• Use the App for unauthorized commercial exploitation
  
  

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  The developer shall not be liable for academic, administrative, or financial decisions based on App results
  

• We are not responsible for data loss, incorrect evaluations, or service interruptions
