EDU.GUIDANCE

Introduction

The EDU.GUIDANCE project is a multilateral Strategic Partnership between 5 European countries (Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Portugal and Greece) whose goal, in addition to the specific objectives of the project, was to innovate, internationalize and make educational guidance more effective, by integrating it into the didactics and creating awareness of the different agents that influence the choice processes of young people.

Following the Europe 2020 Strategy towards a more intelligent, sustainable and inclusive growth of the economy and society, we took a step towards flexible and high quality education and training systems that respond to current and future needs. Our objectives have been:

to enhance the digitalization of educational guidance through specific and useful tools at European level;

to promote the exchange of best practices in order to provide concrete solutions in the implementation of a quality and collaborative educational guidance system;

to limit early school leaving due to inadequate choices;

to provide continuous strategic communication on the prospects for results at the decision-making level in educational authorities and public institutions.

The direct participants of the project have been about 1200 among high school students, teachers, guidance counsellors and school directors, trainers; while indirectly more than 8000 people have and will benefit, including also education and training policy makers, parents and adult learners' reference persons, other stakeholders, new students and young people, decision makers and policy initiatives.
