3hr simulation visit - focused on budgeting over several life stages (Adolescent, Young Adult, Adult Nearing Retirement).
Can be run as either entry-level or advanced. Students complete classroom curriculum followed by a virtual simulation over several classroom sessions.
The Mobile Simulation
The Mobile Simulation
JA of Eastern Iowa have a mobile JA Finance Park® simulation unit, meaning that when it comes time for your students to complete the simulation, they can do so right on site at school or another community space nearby! There are 20 different storefronts for students to visit, to create a holistic budget considering all different spending categories.
The simulation works best with around 80 students, and lasts 3-4 hours. During this time volunteers will lead small groups of students through the simulation helping them make spending choices and prioritize their budget categories.
