We are excited to welcome new participants for our EfM seminar groups beginning in fall 2026 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Winston-Salem. Here is everything you need to know about fees, dates, and how to register.

The EfM participant fee is $372.75 per person, which includes two small program fees. Fees are due in full upon registration.
Scholarships may also be available. Please ask about scholarship options when you contact us.
Participants purchase their own books.
At-Home Reading and Preparation -- Participants choose how deeply they want to engage EfM material
EfM: Wide-Angle -- 1 - 1.5 hours/week
EfM: Classic -- 2 - 3 hours/week
Seminar Meetings -- 36 weeks for around 2 hours each week. Regular attendance is encouraged. Groups decide how to fulfill the requirements of the program and their commitments to each other. Some meet mostly or entirely on site, others mostly or entirely online, and others find creative ways to fulfill meeting requirements such as planning retreats or outings.
Although EfM: Classic offers four years' worth of material, participants commit to one year at a time.
Sunday May 3 - Introductory Session
Wednesday July 15 - Registration Opens
Sunday August 16 - Introductory Session 2 (Repeat of May 3)
Thursday September 3 - First Meeting of Thursday 8 AM Group
Early September - First Seminar Meeting(s)
EfM groups meet for approximately two hours each week for 36 weeks. Our groups will begin to meet in early September.
Groups are made up of a minimum of six and a maximum of twelve participants (not including mentors).
We are building new groups, so will determine together which meeting times work best for those who want to join. Seminar meetings last for two hours. Based on mentor availability and the availability of meeting spaces, potential meeting times are:
Mondays 6:00 to 8:00 PM (or 6:30 to 8:30 PM)
Tuesdays 6:00 to 8:00 PM (or 6:30 to 8:30 PM)
Wednesdays 6:30 to 8:30 PM
Thursdays 8:00 to 10:00 AM - This group has formed and will meet at St. Paul's beginning September 3. Space is still available.
Participants purchase their own EfM texts separately from the program fee. Several good sources are available:
St. Paul's Bookshop stocks many EfM books on site in the store.
