Education for Ministry (EfM) is a lay theological education program developed by the School of Theology at the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. For more than 50 years, EfM has helped thousands of people deepen their understanding of Scripture, church history, and theology and discover how their faith calls them into action in their daily lives.
A new EfM seminar group is forming in Winston-Salem, NC for the 2026-2027 seminar year, meeting in person at St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Led by two accredited EfM mentors, this group welcomes anyone who wants to grow in faith, connect with others, and explore what it means to minister in the world. Both the classic four-year EfM track and the new one-year Wide Angle track will be available and participants can choose which path fits them best.
