Today I learned a lot more about engineering as a concept and practice, who engineers are, and what the engineering design process entails. The lecture was great and the discussions regarding engineering, science, and technology were fascinating and engaging. The nature of engineering is unique in terms of design process being activity-driven. I think it is important to contemplate the "so what" and "why" questions pertaining to these concepts and as it relates to technology education. Differentiating between engineering, science, and technology can be complex. It may seem that there is no definitive answer to questions regarding what are the roles of engineering, science, and technology as it relates to their conceptual frameworks and how these frameworks may overlap each other. There are different schools of thought concerning this matter. Thus far, I understand engineering to be the practical implication of technological literacy.
