Affordances
This week we will be looking at the potentials of Gizmos.
Affordance refers to the actual and perceived possessions of the technology, and suggests how the technology should be utilized.
This is important for teachers to understand that not all technologies are suitable to fulfil the desired tasks and outcomes. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the various features the technology provides to deliver seamless and engaging lessons.

The pyramid demonstrates the levels of cognitive process elements by Anderson and Krathwohl's model.
This pyramid presents a continuance of lower order thinking to higher order thinking processes.
This week we will be looking at an Open Education Resource (OER) called Phet, which is a computer simulated program that creates models of various principles in science.
Thinking Through Online Learning Design
In chapter 5, we will be looking at how multiple forms of technology are available at close reach for teachers to design learning that is collaborative, connective, informative and interactive.
You will see how a range of technologies with different affordances can be used and interplay to design a 30-40 minute lesson. In this chapter we will look at Easelly.
