I can use the LRC to find help if struggling in a class. Student Services to apply for financial aid, register for classes, and change major. Gym to do exercise by using machines, and is free.
The Medical Clinic can help me to analyze blood and urine in laboratories. Testing and treatment of conditions such as high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or diabetes. Vaccinations, and take care of minor symptoms, such as sore throats, coughs, and nasal congestion.
Getting involved in campus activities is beneficial by offering the chance to develop and build skills, make friends, have fun, create a network, get better grades, and persist to graduation.
Networking is important because it opens doors to better opportunities.
My adviser is important to help me identify potential roadblocks to graduation as early as possible and keep myself on track.
Three clubs/activities on my campus that is of interest to me are Phi Theta Kappa, which is an International Honor Society for leadership and scholarship, I am a PTK officer and the advisor for this club is John Miller. Another club is JC Hispanic American Club, as a Hispanic, I am interested in this club which is for students interested in increasing knowledge about Hispanic Americans, the advisor is Javier Gomez. And STEM Club which is an opportunity for STEM students to network with students & professionals, my interest in this club is that it could open doors to great opportunities in the future, and it is related to my major, the advisor for this club is Linda Nix.

How can tuition be paid? Tuition and fees are due in full at the time of registration. Students may enroll in a monthly payment plan once registration opens for each term. There is no enrollment fee and payments will automatically adjust if changes are made to the student account. Also, tuition can be paid by scholarships.

JC Campus Fitness Center features are a cardio room, weight room, full-size basketball court with six goals (which may be used as a volleyball court as well) (currently closed due to COVID-19), ping pong tables, Men’s and Women’s locker rooms with showers, an outdoor intramural field with soccer goals, flag football, disc golf course, tennis courts, outdoor lighted 1/2 mile walking track (open to the public).
Singing River Health Clinic is the health system partner of the MGCCC Medical Clinics.
What is the fee to use Campus Medical Clinics? Fees are waived for active employees, employee dependents, and currently enrolled students when using on-campus health clinics. Off-campus clinics are also available. However, you will have to pay your co-pay and your insurance will be filed. Anyone uninsured can utilize the clinics for a $5.00 co-pay which will cover your exam as well as general bloodwork.
