By taking the leadership style test, I have discovered that my learning style is a democratic/participative style. One characteristic is that this type loves to involve team members, and that is what I like and the first thing I do when my team and I are working on a project, or we are doing an activity.
I enjoyed doing this activity, it showed me how my personality is, and also my weakness is, it said that it will not work well when I am under high pressure and need a fast turnaround.
The STEM Summit I learned that life has its challenges and hardships, that even though we are just starting life and starting to face the struggles ahead, we should not give up on our goals and dreams. We should always work hard, not for the company, but for ourselves. We should always do our best because we never know who is watching us whether we do wrong or right, and if we are seen doing right that person watching could be the one to help me get to the next level. I learned to network because I can use these connections to further myself in my career as same as I can help them and be able to branch out. Mrs. Rosetti’s phrase starstruck me because I learned what I do with my time is valuable.
Creating my 60-Second Elevator helped me to be ready to introduce myself, be prepared for what I can say, what can I fix before introducing myself, and practice being more confident introducing myself in 60 seconds to sound professional and not be nervous while introducing myself.
PIE Theory of Success helped me understand what are the 3 keys to career success, which are exposure, image, and performance. I have to work on improving the exposure piece on who knows me and who I know.
I really like to make a good image of myself and I try to do my best in what I do or what I am working on.
