Schools- filling primary gap in the Islands

Education is said to be the backbone of a nation. There is no country in the world which becomes developed with a low level of education. Again, there is no nation in the world that is educated but poor. So, the development of a nation is directly related to education. Access to education is a fundamental human right.

We started running 4 free primary schools according to W.B. govt. syllabus for the village children. Shreefaltala Free Primary School in Shreefaltala village at Raidighi, Nabakishalay school, Sonatikari, at Kultali, Purbajata Free Primary School in Purbajata village at Jata island, Gangasagar Pathsala in Gangasagar island. 577 children are getting primary education from nursery to class IV. 35 qualified Teachers are trying heart and soul to mainstreaming them. The school timing is from 11 a.m. to 3.30 p.m. We supply all the education materials, books, copies for the children totally free. Students, on completion of primary education are successfully mainstreamed to pathways of higher education offered by government aided schools.

Parents of students are encouraged to participate in management of schools.
