Keith Johnson, also known as KJ, comes to Edina with a belief that all students can learn and grow.  As a Valedictorian in high school, Keith firmly believes in academics coming first in the student-athlete.  Mr. Johnson brings to this role a proven track record of successful competitive baseball and football playing experience at the University of Concordia in St. Paul.  Keith was  formerly the head junior varsity softball coach at St. Paul Academy.  Throughout his coaching career he has helped student-athletes acquire multiple collegiate softball opportunities at D-I, D-II, and D-III schools across the country.

Keith was a 4 year letter winner in baseball and football at Harlan Community Academy in Chicago. Coach KJ was named captain in both sports, 2 years in baseball and 3 years in football. He received All-conference awards 3 years in baseball and 3 years in football.

Logan Ahlness comes to the Hornet program after playing high school softball, basketball and volleyball in New Ulm, Minnesota. She was a 4-year letter winner in all three sports. She received All-State, All-Section and All-Conference awards in softball her junior and senior year of High School. She was 3-year conference champ while playing for New Ulm. She was also chosen to participate in the 2010 Minnesota All Star Series.

Logan went on to play softball at Bethel University starting as the 2nd baseman, and both power hitting and slapping from the left side. She was named team captain at Bethel. She was named MIAC All-conference Honorable Mention in 2013, the same year her team advanced to the MIAC playoff championship game for the first time in team history.

Chris Fourdyce comes to Edina Softball with over 10 years of Fastpitch coaching experience at the 12U-16U youth level. 

Chad Dye, affectionately known as "Coach Dye", is currently in his second year with EHS Softball. With more than 16 years of coaching under his belt, Coach Dye boasts a wealth of experience. He has actively contributed to some of the most prestigious club organizations, including Midwest Speed, MN Sting, and even founded his own club, Lady Storm. 

Coach Dye has an extensive track record of hosting catching and hitting clinics across various communities in Minnesota, fostering the growth of aspiring softball players. His connections with numerous collegiate coaches and his mentorship of several players who have gone on to play college softball highlight his commitment to nurturing talent. Coach Dye's primary objective remains steadfast: to guide each player towards realizing their fullest potential and achieving success on the field.

Natalie Spicer, Spicer enters her first season as an assistant head coach. Natalie had a stellar career that spanned five years with Minnesota State University.  A two-time All-NSIC pick, Spicer set school records in RBI (154), home runs (30) and walks (119) and was second in games played (227), fourth in total bases (316) and on-base percentage (.423), sixth in runs scored, (123), eighth in doubles (34) and slugging percentage (.518).  Additionally, Spicer etched her name on the school’s single-season record for walks (44) and is tied for first on the school’s single-season runs scored (49) following her senior campaign.

A native of Minnetonka, Minn., Spicer owns a degree in bachelor’s degree Sports Management and Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Sports Management.

Natalie has also coached for MSU Mavericks and Chanhassen High School.
