Edgewood Families, please join the Edgewood PTO to celebrate our incredible staff during Teacher Appreciation Week! We will host a breakfast for all staff in the building the morning of Thursday, May 8, and we need your help with food and donations. Please use this sign-up sheet to volunteer to bring, buy, or bake/make something to contribute. We also want our Edgewood staff know how much we appreciate them, by giving them personalized notes from students and families. Students can drop notes in the collection box set up just inside the front doors of school. Please use this form to let us know who will be receiving notes by Friday, May 9. For the third year in a row, Edgewood families are partnering with the Women of the Village Food Pantry to support its Thanksgiving meal distribution. Collection will happen on the blacktop. Please donate pantry staples and non-perishable holiday dinner items anytime; perishables--especially turkeys!--and cash can be donated on Saturday, November 18.

All Edgewood families are invited to join the PTO for a meet-up and walk around Lake Wintergreen! Parking can be found at 29 Main Street in Hamden, and we'll have some snacks on hand for kids. Come for a laid-back, outdoor activity to meet other Edgewood families and explore a beautiful spot in our New Haven area! If you or your family would like transportation, please e-mail EdgewoodmagnetPTO@gmail.com and we'll set up a carpool schedule. The loop around Lake Wintergreen is approximately 1.5 miles and is fairly flat and easy, although includes a small scramble up a rock area.
