A residents' association gives our community a stronger voice when we are engaging other organisations, such as the City of Joondalup and other land holders and organisations who are stakeholders in our suburb. A residents' association also enables us to apply for grant funding to undertake local improvement initiatives.
The more residents we have as members, the stronger the voice we have when we are presenting our case to other stakeholders. It makes a massive difference when presenting to local government or applying for grants if we have the strength of several hundred local residents behind us.
Membership of the ECRA is open to residents of the suburb of Edgewater, Western Australia. This includes both home owners who currently live in Edgewater and people who live and rent here.
Membership entitles your household to a vote on issues or motions for the residents' association. Currently there is one vote per household, rather than per person. This is based on advice from other RA's.
Membership is currently the princely sum of $1 per person. Membership is open to people over the age of 16 years. We have made membership on a per-person basis so that we can increase the numbers of members that we are representing.
Complete and submit the form below. Following this you will be asked to transfer your membership fee, either by direct transfer, or you can make payment in cash to a member of the committee.
