Acquisition | Special Trait Acquisition | MYOs | Body Types | Idea Permissions
As special trait Edeia are particularly difficult and/or expensive to acquire, compiled here are the methods for acquiring them. Please read this carefully.
There are four kinds of special traits: Fission, Soultwined, Tuplet, and Ambideia. Anomalies are treated as special traits for acquisition purposes. Please be sure to review the lore for the one(s) you hope to acquire.
Your first special trait may have only two components.
You have a soft limit of two of each trait for each acquisition method.
All required forms must be designed before the Edeia is officially transferred to you.
You may inquire Auspice for customs and semi-customs at any time, regardless of whether custom slots are open. Auspice may decline for the moment or ask you to wait before starting.
General acquisition info.
Lore for special traits.
Components
Your first special trait may have only two components: two fragments for a Fission, or two components for a Soultwined or Tuplet.
Special trait Edeia with more than two components are a rarity among rarities, so there is a soft limit of one special trait Edeia with more than two components per person. You may ask for an exception, but Auspice may not accept. See Special Cases for details.
Slots
You have a soft limit of two of each trait for each acquisition method: premade, custom, notion (including semi-custom), and MYO. A special trait voucher from the voucher shop (see Development Prompts) disregards this limit.
Community currency (Figments and Inspiration), trades, and mixed payment count for the first spot. Full monetary payment counts for the second.
Not counted: applying the Fission trait through the Figment Store, and Anomalies.
Applying a special trait to an existing Edeia counts as the method used (or close enough) to make the new designs. If no new designs were made, it counts as whichever original method you choose.
If you acquire at least 12 of the 16 combinations below without special trait vouchers, the limit can reset. When you reach that point, please present a spreadsheet or tracker of each special trait Edeia you acquired and the method used.
Expand the block below to see each special trait Edeia you can currently acquire without a voucher. You may keep it as a checklist.

You must have a Toyhou.se. Auspice can procure invites if needed.
You must already own at least one Edeia that is conceptualized by you, or well-developed with Auspice having looked it over to assure compliance with the lore.
A Conceptualization must be completed for Auspice to review and approve before you gain official ownership of the Edeia.
All required forms must be designed before the Edeia is officially transferred to you. For Fission, all fragments must be designed. For Soultwined or Tuplet, the fusion must be designed. Ambideia do not need a medial form, so that is optional.
You must be in the Edeia Discord.
The Conceptualization must be approved before Auspice makes the Edeia.
You may, and are encouraged to, discuss the development with Auspice. You may DM Auspice on Discord.
You may begin working on the Conceptualization if you are in a queue or otherwise completely certain you will get the Edeia in the near future. You may request an extension for one Idea hold, and Auspice is generally more willing if it is intended for special traits.
For premade special trait Edeia, restrictions are not as stringent.
You do not need to be in the Discord.
Depending on the final price, all or half of the Edeia's price is due when you win an auction, claim a flatsale, or otherwise secure the Edeia.
You will be given one month to complete the Conceptualization; this is negotiable. Auspice will try to contact you when time runs out. You may ask for one extension, with negotiable length. If the extension runs out, Auspice may refund you and reopen the sale.
In each Conceptualization, please be sure the answers to the following questions are within, though not necessarily answered directly.
Minimum Level 3 in the Edeia Discord.
Address these questions in your Conceptualization:
What is the personality for each fragment, and how does it relate to the original?
How did the dichotomous sense of identity come about? Please note that the original must accept all aspects as parts of their entire self; they cannot develop fission from simply disliking part of their identity, as they would simply shift their singular identity to something that fits them better.
When did they discover fission? Immediately after Actualization / already knowing they could become fragments, or do they discover it later on?
Minimum Level 3 in the Edeia Discord.
Address these questions in your Conceptualization:
How did the individual develop their multiple Ideas? Why did they experience the transient disconnection and reconnection to their original Idea? What made these concepts distinct, and how did they come by to identify with them separately?
Does their personality change when their expressed Idea shifts?
How did they Actualize? How did they embrace all aspects of their identity as a cohesive whole? Do they become able to express their Ideas simultaneously, or do they remain separate?
Minimum Level 5 in the Edeia Discord.
Address these questions in your Conceptualization:
What kind of soulbond (see Advanced Metaphysics) did they have/develop? How did their soulbond manifest? Could they sense the other's emotions, thoughts, did they dream of each other's memories? Do their personalities start to blend?
What is the nature of their relationship? Romantic, platonic, familial? How did it evolve from a more mundane relation to the deep and fundamental nature of a soultwined bond? Note that I think that a relationship between those with soultwined bond cannot solely be defined as romantic, platonic, familial, or any other typical relationship between two independent individuals. They must have a deep emotional intimacy and understanding of each other, as their senses of self begin to blend.
How did their Ideas develop? Those who become soultwined define their Ideas in the context of and in contrast with the other, their meaning greater when together.
How did they Actualize?
Minimum Level 5 in the Edeia Discord.
Address these questions in your Conceptualization:
What kind of soulbond (see Advanced Metaphysics) did they have/develop? How did their soulbond manifest? Could they sense the other's emotions, thoughts, did they dream of each other's memories? Do their personalities start to blend? Do they dream or daydream of being the other, do they act as the other in waking?
What is the nature of their relationship? Romantic, platonic, familial? How did it evolve from a more mundane relation to the deep and fundamental nature of a soultwined bond? Note that I think that a relationship between Tuplets cannot solely be defined as romantic, platonic, familial, or any other typical relationship between two independent individuals, though they more typically originate from a familial bond. They must have a deep emotional intimacy and understanding of each other, as their senses of self begin to blend and become one.
How did their Idea develop? Was it at the same time as the same Idea, or did they originally have different Ideas and it converged into the same one?
How did they Actualize?
Minimum Level 5 in the Edeia Discord, and you must already own a special trait Edeia.
Begin with a basic concept and your reasoning. Auspice may then request a full Conceptualization.
Auspice reviews Anomaly requests critically, as they stretch the lore further than other special traits. Be prepared to explain why other special traits do not fit, why the characteristics matter to the character, and why they matter to you personally.
Anomalies may optionally be specified as similar to another special trait, such as Anomaly Fission.
Pricing usually follows the closest special trait, and some cases may carry no fee, depending on the trait and how it manifests.
Is it an Anomaly? In Anomalies, form, identity, and abilities are tied together, but not through the mechanisms of an existing special trait.
No special trait needed: variations in appearance, simple shapeshifting, or different identities tied to forms that are not significantly different.
May be an Anomaly: the forms for different identities are very different, or the forms are tied to different expressions of one Idea and manifest different abilities.
Ambideia, not Anomaly: different Ideas come with different identities and different forms.
See the Anomaly section of Special Traits for more.
Prices listed without designs cover only the unified form. Having more than two components may carry additional charges (see Special Cases).
Fission: 80–150 USD, or 180–300 USD including fission fragment designs.
Soultwined, Tuplet, or Ambideia: 150–250 USD, or 200–320 USD including fusion/medial design.
Fission: 80 USD, or 150 USD including fission fragment designs.
Soultwined, Tuplet, or Ambideia: 110 USD, or 160 USD including fusion/medial design.
Semi-custom surcharge: +15 USD for Fission (+30 including fragment designs); +25 USD for Soultwined, Tuplet, or Ambideia (+35 including fusion/medial design).
The available specifications apply to each design separately. You may request a semi-custom for the main form and notions for Fission fragments, for instance.
Fission: 50 USD.
Soultwined, Tuplet, or Ambideia: 60 USD.
You may need to pay additional fees or barter with MYO artists. You may commission Auspice to design the fusion/medial form, or ask the MYO artist to design it.
The Conceptualization must be completed before purchasing the ticket.
Priced at the time of sale.
You may add a special trait to an existing Edeia. The base special trait fee is 30 USD (or 3 Inspiration from the Figment Store, or a special trait voucher from the development prompts). A voucher waives this fee but not the fees below, which are added to it.
In all cases, you must submit a Conceptualization that illustrates how the trait developed and how it works for your Edeia. Auspice will review it and discuss any necessary changes.
No additional fees if you design the fragments yourself. Submit the designs along with the completed Conceptualization. You may discuss thoughts and questions with Auspice throughout.
If Auspice designs the fragments, the method can be notion (80+ USD) or custom (variable price).
If you are creating a new design to add to an existing Edeia, you must also pay the regular cost of the method:
Custom: ~70-120 USD, or ~150-250 USD including fusion/medial design.
Notion: 50+ USD, or 100+ USD including fusion/medial design.
MYO: 35 USD, with the same MYO notes and Conceptualization-before-ticket rule as above.
If you are combining multiple existing Edeia into one special trait Edeia:
+10 USD for updates to ML and listings, even if neither design is changed. You can pick one of the old ML numbers, or take a new number.
Variable fee if designs need to be adjusted.
For the TH profiles, you may combine them into one TH profile or keep them separate, but they should clearly link to each other.
You may acquire special trait Edeia via community currency—Figments (⬥), which you earn by completing monthly prompts, Inspiration (✧), which you earn by completing NPC prompts, and special trait vouchers, which you may be able to claim by completing the development prompts. Through these, you can acquire special trait Edeia without paying USD, or at least significantly cut the cost.
The "special trait fee" can be covered by 30 USD, 3 Inspiration (see Figment Store), or a special trait voucher (from development prompts).
For full community currency acquisition other than Fission, you cannot get a special trait Edeia with more than two components. Dual traits such as Fission Ambideia are also not permitted for full community currency acquisition.
Some methods, which are not comprehensive and assume two components:
Fission trait voucher: you may buy one from the Figment Store for 3 Figments, and apply it to any existing Edeia.
Stacked MYO for Ambideia, Tuplet, or Soultwined:
Full community currency: 4⬥ + 2✧ + special trait fee
Half community currency: 2⬥ + 1✧ + 35 USD MYO ticket + special trait fee
10-15 USD (pay what you want) can replace each Inspiration.
Stacked Notion:
Full: 8⬥ + 2✧ + special trait fee
Full set (all forms, including fusion/medial form or Fission fragments): 12⬥ + 3✧ + special trait fee
Half: 4⬥ + 1✧ + 50 USD Notion + special trait fee
10-15 USD (pay what you want) can replace each Inspiration.
Stacked Custom:
Full: 18⬥ + 2✧ + special trait fee
Full set (all forms): 27⬥ + 3✧ + special trait fee
Half: 9⬥ + 1✧ + one custom price + special trait fee
10-20 USD each depending on complexity can replace Inspiration.
Customs for community currency are not currently available.
Art payment and trade of assets are also options. You may contact Auspice to inquire.
The two-component and no-dual-trait limits do not apply to art payment and trade.
This can be combined with monetary and/or community currency payment.
Please note that Auspice may or may not accept. It is ultimately up to Auspice whether your offer appeals to them. However, it generally appeals more than community currency.
Please see Auspice's art payment preferences, which includes a form you can use for inquiring.
There is a soft limit of one special trait Edeia with more than two components per person. You may ask for an exception, but Auspice may not accept.
Additional charges may apply for more than two fission fragments or more than two parts of a Soultwined, Tuplet, or Ambideia.
Full community currency acquisition does not allow more than two components, other than Fission.
Anomalies may or may not count toward this limit, depending on what they are.
The default Fission price covers only the unified form, though Auspice can also provide complimentary sketches of the fission fragments if desired.
You may provide initial details and sketches of your own to start. Auspice will not make major alterations to them. You may modify them as you wish, and if you commission Auspice, alterations are included.
If you have more than three fragments, Auspice may decline or ask for an additional fee.
You may design the fragments yourself, commission Auspice to finish the sketches, or commission someone else. You may use the sketches Auspice provides or not, but if you commission someone else, they cannot draw over Auspice's sketches.
All fragments must be designed before the Edeia is officially transferred to you.
Additional artwork has normal pricing, unless the fission fragments are involved as well.
Dual traits such as Fission Ambideia are not permitted for full community currency acquisition.
The special trait fee for dual traits is 45 USD.
Normal or existing special trait Edeia may become Semi-Anomalies if the lore is updated. Auspice may prefer to update them to the current lore and will often offer discounts and waived fees to do so.
You may also reach out to Auspice to discuss making one a proper Anomaly.
Semi-Anomalies cannot be used for official submissions such as prompts unless you have permission from Auspice.
