Call for Papers

The Institute for Educational Research, Belgrade, Serbia, in cooperation with the University of Belgrade – Teacher Education Faculty in Serbia and the University of Primorska – Faculty of Education in Slovenia, invites researchers, academics, teachers, educational practitioners and other professionals to submit proposals for the 34th International Scientific Conference “Educational Research and School Practice”:

Education in the Digital Age: Teaching Practices, Evaluation and the Responsible Use of Technology

The conference will be held on 20 November 2026 at the University of Belgrade – Teacher Education Faculty in Belgrade, Serbia.

We welcome original research papers and review papers addressing the opportunities, challenges and implications of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in education. Contributions may be based on quantitative, qualitative or mixed-methods research, as well as on secondary analyses of existing national and international databases.

Submissions may address any of the conference themes presented on the About the Conference page. Proposals that extend beyond the listed thematic areas but address broader aspects of the digital transformation of education are also welcome.

Abstract Guidelines

Authors are invited to submit a structured abstract that presents the essential elements of the proposed paper clearly and concisely. The abstract should:

• be written in English;

• contain between 250 and 300 words;

• include the following sections: Introduction, Aim, Methods, Results and Conclusion;

• not contain references;

• not contain abbreviations.

The working language of the conference is English.

Publication Opportunities

Accepted abstracts will be published in the Book of Abstracts.

Following the conference, authors will have an opportunity to submit full papers for consideration for publication in conference proceedings or an edited monograph. Further information concerning manuscript preparation, submission deadlines and the publication procedure will be provided to authors after the conference.
