The Institute for Educational Research, Belgrade, in cooperation with the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Teacher Education and the University of Primorska – Faculty of Education, is organising the 34th International Scientific Conference “Educational Research and School Practice”
The conference will be held on 20 November 2026 at the University of Belgrade – Faculty of Education in Belgrade, Serbia.
Contemporary education is being shaped by the rapid development of digital technologies, which are transforming teaching practices, learning processes and approaches to evaluation and assessment. Digitalisation and the growing application of artificial intelligence offer important opportunities for improving education, while also raising pedagogical, methodological, ethical and social questions.
The conference aims to facilitate the exchange of scientific and professional knowledge concerning the opportunities and challenges associated with the use of digital technologies and artificial intelligence in education. It also seeks to advance understanding of contemporary teaching practices, approaches to evaluation and assessment, and the responsible use of technology in teaching and learning.
The conference welcomes empirical and theoretical contributions based on quantitative, qualitative and mixed-methods research, as well as studies drawing on secondary analyses of existing national and international databases. The working language of the conference is English.
