Put your pen/pencil to paper and doodle for 2 minutes straight. Practice anything that you already know how to draw. It could start with lines, squiggles and shapes, or perhaps you want to practice writing words or letters in interesting ways.
Take notice of an object near you and see if you can break it down into its most simple shapes and lines. Try and make a quick sketch of that image.
Start by drawing a shape on your page. Now take that shape and turn it into as many objects as you can think of using that shape in under 60 seconds.
*When you're finished, post your words on this Padlet

Draw as many objects as you can using that shape
If you can draw these 5 basic elements, then you CAN draw! It's just a matter of being able to break complex objects into its most simple and basic shapes and lines.

With sketchnoting, there is no time for perfect artwork. No matter how badly drawn an object may look to you, as long as you know what it is and why it's there, that's all that matters. "Ideas, not art" is a great mantra as you sketchnote.
