To whom it may concern,
I am excited to be considered for the elementary teaching position within your district. As an educator, I am committed to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment where every student feels heard, welcome, and supported, as well as challenged academically.
Differentiated instruction is at the center of my teaching practice. I recognize that each student that come into my classroom comes with different strengths, supports, and learning styles, and I consistently design lessons with those supports and learning styles in mind. Through small group instruction, flexible grouping, and ongoing assessment, I strive to make sure all students are feeling supported, while also being pushed to reach their fullest potential.
Creating a positive classroom environment is equally important to me. I truly believe that students learn best in a classroom where they feel safe, heard, and respected. From day one, I always prioritize relationship building, modeling kindness, and working together to establish clear expectations that promote responsibility and mutual respect. By celebrating individual progress, I aim to develop confidence and a love for learning.
Collaboration is another key part of my approach to teaching. I value strong partnerships with families and believe they are essential members of the learning team. Through consistent communication and open dialogue, I strive to keep families engaged and up to date with our learning in the classroom each week. I also enjoy collaborating with colleagues throughout the building to share ideas, analyze student data, and help contribute to a supportive school community.
I would be honored to bring my passion for differentiated and student-centered learning, positive classroom culture, and collaboration to your district. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to the opportunity to further discuss how my skills and values align with your district’s mission.
Sincerely,
Taylor Klaiber
