The East Coast STEAM Magazine was established with the goal of supporting and encouraging interactions among students interested in STEM subjects, especially students from rural and disadvantaged areas. The magazine is run by high school students and mentored by faculty at USF. Recognizing that an artistic education enriches and enables research in sciences and socially-engaged subject areas such as environmental studies, the journal also provides a forum of artistic expression, in the spirit of STEAM.
