Events & Activities!
In the Spring of 2016 we participated in the Irvine Jazz Festival and placed 2nd for both our Intermediate Big Band Ensemble, and 2nd for our Combo Group.
Our two guest clinicians include Christopher Truitt for percussion, and Jeff Bunnell expert in the field, film composer/orchestrator, and professional trumpet player to work with the band.
This February we were selected and had the opportunity to attend the Disney Performing Arts Jazz It Up! workshop where we recorded live three behind the scenes tracks with the Incredibles, 101 Dalmations, and Bolt!
March 10th, Paul Piazza, Los Angeles Youth Orchestra Manager, an ECR Alumni, workshopped the band through tunes like Beyond the Sea, and Count Bubba's Revenge, focusing on ensemble playing, solos, and comping.
May 13th, 2017 we participating in the Westlake Jazz Festival, and Saturday, May 20th played in the Spring Semester Concert here at ECRCHS.
