Thank you for stepping up into a Leadership Role with Pack 196. We want to make sure this is a positive experience for you and the scouts.
Use the GroupMe app to communicate with your Den.
Set your Den Meeting schedule and make sure to always have 2 adults present. Google & Pinterest can be a great resource for planning your required adventures and electives.
Advancement Spreadsheet- Please make sure to keep your roster current (we only want to recharter active scouts) & keep track of which adventures the scouts have completed. If a scout misses a meeting, they can make up the activity at home and send you a picture of them completing it.

All LEADERS are required to take this course.
All PARENTS are encouraged to take this course.
2-Deep leadership is always required. This can be 2 leaders, or 1 leader and 1 parent. Adults should never be 1-on-1 with minors at scouting events.
BALOO Training
BALOO Training
In order for Pack 196 to camp on our own, we are required to have a BALOO certified adult present. This training involves the adult completing a short online course and spending 1 night camping with other adults to learn all the things needed to make our campouts safe and fun.
We are always interested in having more BALOO adults. If you are interested, please register and email your receipt to info@ecpack196.com for reimbursement ($45). Pack 196 covers the cost of this training, it can actually be a fun bonding experience for couples, too!
