The English name is Virginia Rose and the Latin or scientific name is Rosa Virginiana.
Appearance:
The Virginia Rose has compound leaves and these leaves have teeth on the edges. Usually the length of the leaf blade grows to about 20-60 mm and usually the width of the leaf blade is about 10-30 mm and the plant grows to about 4-6 feet tall. The colour of the flower on the Virginia rose is pink with yellow in the middle. There are also small fruits that are round and bright red on the plant that are rich with vitamin C and are edible, the fruits are used to make jams and teas.

Habitat:
