GLOBAL STOP MOTION

Global Stop Motion

During our last online meeting, we had an idea:

"What about creating a global stop motion about Swimmy story? Collaboration is very important in this project, and the kids would love it".

We decided to go on with this wonderful idea.

1- We read the story and watched the video in English on Youtube in class and at home, to share it with the families.

We used these drawings to create our part.

2- Then we divided the story into sequences, to be represented with drawings. Each class contributed with two/three of them.

3- Each class had then to transform the drawings into a short stop motion.

4- Finally all the "pieces" became one wonderful movie, with music and English subtitles.

The meaning of the story is so POWERFUL and full of HOPE.

The students and everyone loved it.

We could clearly understand and learn from the message hidden in the story that ...WE CAN MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE.

EVERYONE IS IMPORTANT, AND TOGETHER WE CAN CHANGE THINGS.

We experimented with this while working together for the production of our Special MOVIE!
