Problem

I have been looking into the pizza box's recycling since the Domino's pizza box very clearly states that "I am recyclable".  After further research however, I found out that on Loudon County website, guidelines say that pizza boxes are absolutely not  acceptable in recycling. I went to take a tour of the landfill, and confirmed the guideline with the officer there. He mentioned that the catch is that: The clean cardboard box is acceptable, but the box with grease or food contaminants is not acceptable.

I also visited American Disposal's MRF (Material Recovery Facility), and the officer there told me that they do accept pizza boxes.

When I contacted Domino's, they said "It is a common misconception that pizza boxes cannot be recycled. Pizza boxes are made of high-quality corrugated paper, which can be recycled at least seven times. Our primary box supplier commissioned a study confirming grease and residual cheese do not impact the quality of the recycled fibers." I was puzzled by this information.
