Awareness campaigns that I have started have been impactful. Everyone, whom i reached was full surprised to hear that Loudoun does not accept Pizza Boxes and when I described the correct way to recycle, they were able to make sense of the idea

I have visited multiple restaurants that serve boxed pizza, many birthday party places, costco etc and collected 181 Pizza Boxes. I have then made sure that I sort through the clean base and spoiled base boxes. I teared the ones with clean tops and recycled them properly.

I have visited my Elementary school and got to present in front of 50 first graders and explain the whole journey. I also shared the process i followed to get the loudoun guidelines updated and encouraged them to take actions if they see there is something they should change.

Presenting in Ms. Pitzen's 5th grade class. It was a fun and great feeling to share my journey with my juniors.

Partnership with local facilities to raise Awareness

I have also worked with amazing Public library partners from Loudoun county. I was able to put up the community bulletin board posters in Gum Spring Library, Brambleton Library and Dulles Rec Center

A Birthday party place has an average of 6 parties every weekend. There is a probability of at least 4 boxes per party. That is almost 25 boxes every weekend per place and hence a significant impact on the total number of correctly recycled boxes
