A world where societies thrive by understanding and aligning with Earth’s operational design: ensuring reliable freshwater, resilient ecosystems, and equitable well-being across generations.
To advance and apply the Earth’s Operational Design (EOD) framework by translating scientific knowledge of water-driven planetary processes into practical education, policy guidance, and field-based demonstration: supporting water security, ecosystem regeneration, and climate resilience.
We generate, synthesize, and communicate knowledge about Earth’s Operational Design (EOD) the natural system that sustains freshwater, ecosystems, and climate stability through research on water, vegetation, atmosphere, and land-system interactions, the development of conceptual frameworks, tools, and indicators, and the translation of Earth system science into practical understanding for decision-makers and communities. In general, conducting action research to understand and strengthen Earth’s life-support processes.
Purpose: To make Earth’s life-support system scientifically visible, understandable, and usable.
We build awareness and capacity by teaching how Earth functions as a water- and life-sustaining system through children’s books and learning materials, school programs, community education and training, and public communication on water, ecosystems, and climate.
Purpose: To create a population that understands the natural systems that support their survival and prosperity.
We model Earth’s Operational Design on the ground to restore ecosystems and strengthen livelihoods through landscape restoration and water-centered land management, vegetation recovery, soil rehabilitation, watershed protection, and community-led regeneration projects.
Purpose: To turn scientific understanding into measurable water security, food production, and ecosystem recovery.

Mr. Mastewal Ejigu Ademe is the Founder and Manager of EcoEmpower, a science-based initiative dedicated to aligning human development with Earth’s natural systems. His work centers on the discovery and application of Earth’s Operational Design (EOD), a systems framework that explains how planetary processes, particularly the water cycle, sustain life, climate stability, and ecological productivity.
Mastewal’s research reframes freshwater not as a standalone resource, but as an outcome of coordinated planetary processes driven by solar energy, ecosystems, land–water interactions, and atmospheric dynamics. Through publications, training programs, advisory services, and demonstration projects, he translates this understanding into practical strategies for water security, climate resilience, sustainable agriculture, and development planning.
He is the author of Rainmakers: Existence’s Blueprint and leads ongoing research and educational initiatives for policymakers, communities, and children, with a focus on restoring ecological function and supporting long-term planetary regeneration.
