The project aims to promote civic, ecological, and moral values among the younger generation: respecting nature and differences of opinion, preventing and combating pollution, promoting mutual respect and building a foundation for an open partnership and democratic society in which active citizenship is based ecologist.
Between September 20-24, 2021, the second mobility was organized within the project “ECO CHILD at the Special Secondary School for the visually impaired students in Bucharest - Romania.
Partners from Turkey, Greece and Lithuania were welcomed, and they followed the program:
Working day 1/20 September 2021
On the first day, at the SPDV School, the partners were greeted by a committee of teachers, according to tradition, with bread and salt, there was a tour of the school, then artistic activities were carried out. Later they participated in the project meeting, "Opportunities during the Pandemic", and in the seminar - Eco programs in Romania,
In the afternoon was the visit - the natural reservation in the heart of Bucharest, the Vacaresti delta, where protected species are on the verge of extinction. The evening ended with a festive dinner.
Working day 2/21 September 2021
The project partners participated in several thematic workshops - Material Adaptation-Reuse, Recycle. Another workshop was about Ecological Psychology, then the partners made an "Ecological Costume", later the Seminar was held with - school graduates - Blind Champions and nature getaway - Climbing the World.
In the afternoon, they participated in a climbing session, and then they came in contact with the ancient Romanian culture from the Peasant's village - the Dimitrie Gusti Museum. In the evening, they all went to a traditional, special dinner.
Working day 3/22 September 2021
The third day began with short seminars - Energy saving, Natural treatments - miracle recipes - Thief oil. Then the participants were able to attend different classes: geography, music, occupational therapy, and physical education. During the workshop "How nature transforms education", the guests participated in the implementation of some autumn recipes.– Pickled cucumbers.
After lunch, the partners got involved in the interactive activity - Tactile Crosswords. During the lightbox workshop, all partners contributed to the conception of a common story about global warming, entitled The Penguin Pino.
Working day 4/23 September 2021
The members of the project discovered the benefits of walking in nature during the cultural visit to Sinaia, visiting The Peles Castle. They appreciated nature from the cable car and then at 1400 height from the Bucegi mountains.
Working day 5/24 September 2021
A final mobility party was held, where images from different parties with traditional songs and dances from different parts of the country were presented. Diplomas were handed out for the mobility participation and for attending special activities.
The participants involved in this activity had the opportunity to:
- discover different ways of recycling and reusing materials

- identify the benefits of teamwork

- improve presentation skills
- eliminate prejudgments on different cultures

- discover the measures for the protection of some urban protected areas, by observing endangered species of birds and animals

- adapt the methods for children with SEN
- adopt non-formal methods of outdoor activities
- observe different teaching methods
- discover new ways of using organic wastes
