Echo Park Elementary PTO awards two $1,000 scholarships each year to graduating seniors who attended Echo Park Elementary School.

Criteria:

1.      Applicants must have attended Echo Park Elementary School for at least one full school year.

2.      Scholarship must be used for post high school experience: college, vocational, or trade school.

3.      Applicant must have at least a 2.0 GPA.

Application Information:

1.      The scholarship application form must be submitted with the following three attachments:

a.      List of activities and length of involvement.

b.      An essay (500 words or less, double spaced) describing the influence Echo Park Elementary School had on your academic and personal growth through middle school and high school. Add a statement about your future goals and ambitions.

c.       A one-page recommendation from someone who knows you well (teacher, employer, community service advisor, etc.). The recommendation should include how they know you, their perception of your strengths and areas of growth, and why they feel you deserve this award.

2. The completed application form along with attachments must be received on or before Thursday, April 9, 2026. Include your name on all attachments and email to: ep.attendance@district196.org

3. The recipient of the scholarship will be notified on or before Wednesday, April 29, 2026.
