Profile

Writing a strong profile is key to getting a strong recommendation letter. The assignment for the profile is attached below.

Best case scenario: Ask for recommendations 3-4 weeks before the deadline and after they've said yes,

bring them a folder with the following information:

• • Profile and resume

  • Essay or personal statement if ready

  • A document that lets them know when letters are due

  • Addressed stamped envelopes--unless a link will be sent--which is far more common now

  • Your best work from that teacher's class if appropriate
