Minutes

  • Anne, Jeffrey, Norman, and Stephanie will be main writers for the group, with Brittney and Susan serving as ex-officio members. Fred will remain behind the scenes. The main consultant partner is Ten Strands, but the group also is able to consult with any agency they feel necessary: CA Science Project, CA Global Education Project, CSU Sustainability Office, etc.

  • The start date will most likely be early January 2021, as paperwork has to be started and approved at the CO. New regulations are now in place at the CO when CSU faculty are asked to work on a project. The team will let Fred by Friday of the preference regarding faculty engagement (3-unit course release or overload - both the equivalent of 45 hours).

  • The deadline for the report will be mid-August 2021. As a reminder, the report will be a PK-12 course/curriculum regarding sustainability and environmental literacy that has a particular focus on educator preparation and student learning and may be used systemwide among the CSU educator preparation programs. Fred will be calling a meeting sometime in March 2021 just to check in on the group’s progress.
