Application
Application
Application consists on a written information and visual profile of your character.
Character Written Information is MANDATORY. But, you can keep it as concise as you want, and edit it anytime you wish.
Visual Profile is only OPTIONAL. Take your time to create the art and post it anytime even after submission
You may use whatever platform to write your character information in like ToyHouse, Unvale, Google Docs, etc.
Your character will not be considered canon until you submit your application~

Below are just the mandatory information needed for your character to be in Evermere Grand Bazaar. However, you may add much more to the information however you want~

The world uses Seasonal Calendar - There are 4 seasons and 30 days in each season.
See [Season Dates] for the equivalent IRL date for each season. Basically, one day in Evermere is 3 days IRL.
❖ Occupation / Business:
If your OC is a Merchant, What shop / business your OC will be having/working for?
Any business can exist in any village regardless of the region's specialty.
If your OC is a Citizen of Evermere, what is their occupation outside of the grand bazaar?
If your OC is a Visitor, what is their occupation aside from visiting Evermere?
Otherwise, they are considered NPCs and do not need to be written an application.

Magic: Can they do magic? What kind of magic can they do?

Describe the Height, Weight, Build, Hair Color & Style, Eye Color & Style, Scars, Notable Traits and more about your character to help understand how they look like.

You may draw a portrait of your character as a background, or keep the background blank.
Full-body profile is OPTIONAL. You may inclde other trinkets, decorations, quotes, etc anywhere in the application.
The banner includes the name of the business/shop and a very brief description of your character.
If your character is unemployed/no business/visitor of Evermere, then replace the top part to the name of the village they live in (i.e. From Evermere, From Empire of Thalvoria, etc)

Once your profile is accomplished, submit them in Characters channel in the Discord server.
Please ensure your post is named after your Character, and the written & visual (if you already have it) URL is given as the first post.
You may also attach your visual app instead of a URL

The reviewers will proceed to review new submissions. They will have In Review tag if they are currently being checked.
After reviewing and once approved, they will have Approved tag on your submission.

Q: What is there outside of Evermere?
There are other nations and the Kingdom of Verdanys (who is a BIIIIG walled city - Medieval England-inspired aesthetics).
Q: Technology, how is it like?
The setting in this group is mixed between medieval to industrial.
We have guns, factories, steam trains
We have charcoal pens, wooden spears, wooden bows
It's mixed as long as it fits the High Fantasy Theme.
Q: Where is [biome/area not yet described]?
We can discuss where we can include that within the Evermere region.
However, you may feel free to write/come up with your own area and put it outside of Evermere. As Evermere is just a small part of the world, we welcome new ideas to add into our world.
Example: "OC lived in the Desert Nation of Kopi Arabica, and moved to Evermere to share his coffee concoctions"
Q: Gods are real, but can my OC not believe them?
Of course! Experiences are different between each character.
Your character may not have ever experienced the gods, and only heard them from books or stories. Seeing is believing and if they haven't seen them, I'd understand if they don't believe them - or are even against them.
Q: Then, are the people of this world religious?
The "religion" which believe the Great Dragons as Gods have no stricy rules and commandments to follow. They do worship and masses. They do simple offerings as thanks. They do weddings & funerals under the blessing of these gods. They worship and live their own lives.
There is, however, a Holy Nation, where the gods are absolutely revered. If you diss the religion within that nation, you'll surely be judged and kicked out.

Q: How many OCs can I have?
Yes~
Q: Can I have an NPC?
NPCs are more of to add a few content to your OC's story, but won't need too in-depth story themselves - random names that appear in your character. And as the name suggests.
So if you have a character like that, there is no need to create an application, and you may add their references to your related character.
But what if I want to create a child for my OC?
Since we can't allow children being played in this world for safety purposes, please make them as NPC. You may include them in festivals as participants while accompanied by your OC.

Q: Natural magic is rare. But can my OC have it?
Yes! Just let the reviewers know first so we're aware~
Q: I want my OC to be master of all types of magic. Is that allowed?
Yes! Though, as written in the Laws of Magic, learning the forms of magic requires study, understanding of magic, and practice and talent.
I would request you to write some difficulties encountered in your character's background for it.

Q: I can submit without the visual app?
Yes. We understand everyone doesn't have all the capacity to draw in time.
As such, we only require the written application. If you don't have the art yet, then please describe their looks within the written application.
Q: Can I make changes with my OC anytime?
Of course~ Though, please do refrain from retconning unless necessary.
Anyway, there is no "price" for updating/changing information about your OC~ Feel free to update them anytime!

As much as possible, I'll approve as long as they aren't OP and have elements not allowed in this world (e.g. Riding Dragons, Being Hybrid Bunny and Bear, Being Gods, Being a DemiGod). We can totally talk about it first~

Q: Reptiles? Snakes? Arachnids?
Unfortunately, no. Retiles/Snakes are very close to Dragons and are considered gods. So this won't be an acceptable race currently.
Arachnids will be considered as monsters.
Q: Can my OC transform to a human if they are non-human?
Publicly, no. This is considered one of the forbidden magic - bodily transformation. It is considered very painful and most often irreparable.
If it helps write your story, that's okay :) But maybe let's make it subtle. Because this is considered highly forbidden.
