Hello!
I’m Yamada, the organizer of the "Easy Jazz Session."
Let me ask you a quick question: What is your impression of "Jazz"? While everyone has their own take, I think many of us share the same feeling—that it’s "difficult."
Nowadays, online lessons have made it easier to start learning. However, jazz remains a challenging genre to master systematically, both in theory and practice. That is likely why jazz musicians often say, "Making mistakes is the fastest way to improve."
While I agree with that sentiment, I also know how intimidating it is for a beginner to jump into a high-level jazz bar session and play boldly without fear. That’s why I created this session—to serve as a stepping stone for those who want to eventually challenge themselves in those higher-level environments.
The reason I choose set songs in advance and have capacity limits for each instrument is simple: it’s exactly what I wish I’d had when I first started. I truly believe I would have improved much faster with a session like this.
I hope you’ll use this session as your starting point to knock on the door of the wonderful world of jazz.
