Due to an existing General Obligation bond at the time of consolidation, families living in the former Nishna Valley school district have recently been paying a levy of approximately $2.15 for every $1,000 of assessed value. Families living in the former Malvern school district have not been paying an additional levy because their district had no bond indebtedness when the two districts consolidated.
