Welcome to Earthside Harmony
I’m a DONA-trained doula with over 19 years of experience supporting birthing individuals. My passion for the birthing process began with the first birth I assisted, igniting a deep commitment to empowering women during one of life’s most transformative moments.
I hold a BS in Computer Information Systems from Appalachian State University and an MA in Business and Marketing Education from NC State. After 15 years as a public school educator, I transitioned my focus to serving women and families, bringing the same dedication to advocacy, education, and service that defined my teaching career.
As a mother of five daughters, whom I homeschool, I understand the profound impact of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences. Reflecting on my own labor and delivery journeys, I felt called to help women achieve their ideal births through education, preparation, and compassionate support. I believe every woman deserves a birth experience that respects her voice, her choices, and her strength.
Currently, I serve as a doula coordinator and lead doula for a nonprofit organization that provides doula care to women of color, a role that aligns with my mission to make a lasting impact from the womb and beyond. I’ve seen how traumatic pregnancy and birth can shape a family’s future, and I am committed to being part of the solution.
I come from a lineage of caretakers; my grandmother and her sisters were birth and postpartum doulas long before the term existed. Their legacy inspires my work as I continue this tradition with pride and purpose. As a student midwife and lifelong learner, I aim to honor their wisdom while deepening my knowledge to serve my clients better.
At Earthside Harmony, I embrace the belief that birth is a natural, empowering process. I trust that women are divinely equipped for this beautiful task, and my role is to guide them in rediscovering their strength and voice. Let’s journey together to create the birth experience you deserve.
