Upon Arrival
If you are international participants flying in Osaka, you will arrive at either Kansai International Airport (KIX) or Osaka (Itami) International Airport (ITM). Both are sometimes called the "Osaka" airport but located at different places in Osaka with different functions. ITM is more frequently used by those flying from the Narita or Haneda airport in the Tokyo area. As explained below in TRANSPORTATION, KIX and ITM are connected to Osaka City University through different transportation routes.
These airport are now run by the same company. So their facilities and services such as customs/immigration, currency exchange, and WiFi router/SIM card are similar and can be found out at their websites (please crick the above links).
Transportation
From the Airports
From KIX:
Please take a JR Kansai Airport rapid train (Kankū-kaisoku), change to a local train at the Sakai-shi station, and get off at the Sugimoto-cho station right next to the campus. Please see the campus map.
From ITM:
Please take an Airport Limousine bus for Abeno just outside the exit of the airport. After arriving at Abeno, please cross the overpass to go to the JR Tennoji station from which you can take a Hanwa-line local train (at Platform 8) to get to the Sugimoto-cho station next to the campus. Please see the campus map.
