On March 27th 2021, Ea Ka ʻAi o Hawaiʻi had the great honor of hosting and facilitating a wonderful panel discussion on women’s liberation through ʻāina based EAducation. This conversation was between Shanon Bucasas, a Hawaiian studies teacher who is instrumental to the Hawaiian Studies Program at Waianae high school; Pauline Sato, who has dedicated the past 30+ years to environmental preservation, now the executive and program director for Malama Learning Center; Nanea Keliʻi, a Farm manager apprentice of Ma’o Organic Farms from beautiful Nānākuli; and a very diverse audience of ʻōpio, kūpuna, and everyone between, from all walks of life.
On March 13th 2021, Ea Ka ʻAi o Hawaiʻi had the great honor of hosting and facilitating a wonderful panel discussion on mana wāhine and ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi. This conversation was between Ipolani Loo, a distinguished member of the ʻōlelo community as a longtime immersion school teacher; Napua Casson, a person in the field of health and education outreach who is guided heavily by her connection to ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi; Logan Shiroma, an architect who is dedicated to building spaces for her people and the language of her people; and a very diverse audience of ʻōpio, kūpuna, and everyone between, from all different walks of life.
