Esta página está dedicada a la memoria de EA2IF, Guru, radioaficionado fallecido el 11 de marzo de 2022.

Una de sus actividades favoritas fue operar la radio y hacer contactos desde cimas de montaña, participando en el programa internacional SOTA (summits on the air).

Con ocasión del aniversario de su fallecimiento, un grupo de amigos suyos, también aficionados a SOTA, ha llevado a cabo una activación desde múltiples montes de España con indicativo especial para honrar su memoria: 

This page is devoted to the memory of EA2IF, Guru, amateur radio operator who passed away past March 11th 2022.

One of his favorite activities was to operate his ham radio gear on top of mountains, participating actively in the international scheme SOTA (summits on the air).

In order to remember him on his death anniversary, a group of Guru's friends, also participating in SOTA, will run an event activating summits all over Spain with  Special callsign to honour him:

- Activación: elindicativo especial se emplea para realizar varias activaciones durante el mes de Marzo de 2025 desde varias cimas en la península de EA: siempre se identifican como /P desde SOTA.

Se anuncian de antemano con Alertas en la web de Sotawatch, y las fechas dependen de la meteorología. Esperamos tener suerte alrededor de la fecha significativa del 11 de Marzo.

- Caza: como podría haber otros activadores a quienes les gustaría tener un QSO con nosotros, emplearemos también este indicativo para cazar desde QTH fijo. De ese modo aumentan las oportunidades para cazar DX y a los activadores de otros continentes. Cuando cacen no añadirán el sufijo /P.

No se envían QSL de los contactos, pero el log se carga en la base de datos del programa SOTA y se otorgan los puntos de las cimas.

- Activation: a special callsign will be used to do several activation during  March 2025 from summits within mainland EA, they will always add the suffix /P when from a SOTA.

Alerts will be put in Sotawatch, as the dates will depend upon the weather. We hope to be lucky around the significant March 11th.

- Chasing: as perhaps there are other activators who would like to have a QSO with us, we’ll be using also the callsign to chase from home. This way we'll increase the opportunities to log some DX and activators from other continents. When chasing, no /P will be added.

There will be no paper QSL or any type of diploma.

The QSO will be uploaded to the Sota Database and any activation will also be listed in this web page.
