This course empowered me to navigate the intricacies of leading teams, making informed decisions, and fostering a collaborative environment. In Nursing Ethics (NLM 201), I delved into the ethical dimensions of nursing practice, grappling with complex moral dilemmas and learning to advocate for patient autonomy and justice. This course equipped me with a solid ethical foundation that will guide my decision-making as a nurse leader, ensuring the delivery of compassionate and ethical care. Building upon my prior knowledge, Nursing Informatics 2 (NLM 202) delved deeper into the realm of healthcare technology and information systems. I gained expertise in managing health information, analyzing data for quality improvement, and leveraging informatics to enhance patient outcomes. The Community and Population Nursing course (NLM 205) broadened my perspective, emphasizing the social determinants of health and the role of nursing in promoting wellness within communities. I acquired the skills to assess community needs, develop health promotion initiatives, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to address population health challenges. Lastly, Human Resource Management in Healthcare (NLM 206) equipped me with the necessary skills to effectively manage and support healthcare personnel. I learned about recruitment strategies, professional development, and fostering a positive work environment. As I reflect on my second semester, I am grateful for the knowledge and skills gained. Armed with practical experiences, ethical grounding, informatics proficiency, a community-focused approach, and human resource management skills, I am confident in my ability to lead with integrity, drive innovation, advocate for ethical care, and positively impact the well-being of patients, communities, and healthcare teams.
